2008

March
• Wison (Shanghai) Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd. became a member of the Industrial Furnace Design Committee of the China Petroleum & Chemical Engineering Survey and Design Association.
• Wison donated 250,000 CNY to the Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Foundation, China Welfare Institute to support the reconstruction of the hospital in Liuchang Township, which was one of the most serious snow-affected regions in Guizhou Province.
 

May
• A total of over 1.62 million CNY was donated on behalf of all Wisoners to the Sichuan earthquake disaster area to help the recovery of the victims of the event. The following month Wison donated 200 tents for disaster relief to the Qingchuan, Sichuan Province to help the local government arrange for emergency housing for victims.

June
• Wison launched the "Month of Safety", a series of activities held in all group offices and departments focusing on the topics of "My Contribution to Safety" and "Green Engineering".
• Wison achieved a successful test-run of the 2200 KTA continuous reforming combination plant, the largest plant of its kind in Asia. This plant comprises a significant part of the renovation and expansion project for processing Russia-made sulfur-bearing crude oil in the PetroChina Dalian Petrochemical Co.

August
• Wison (Nantong) Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. passed the DNV ISO9001:2000 quality system certification.
• Wison (Shanghai) Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd. obtained a Class-A qualification for engineering design of chemical, petrochemical and medicine.

September
• Wison and the PetroChina Fushun Petrochemical Branch signed a contract for an 800 KTA Ethylene Expansion Project to be provided on a PC basis.

October
• Wison (Shanghai) Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd. obtained a Class-A qualification of Engineering Consultation for chemical and petrochemical industries.
• Wison signed a contract on an EPC basis with CNOOC Shell Petrochemical Co., Ltd. for the CNOOC-Shell Ethylene Cracking Furnace Debottlenecking Project, marking Wison's first foreign-funded project.
