February
• Wison and PetroChina Sichuan Petrochemical Co., Ltd. signed a contract to provide PC services for six plants including a. 600 KTA paraxylene plant, 60 KTA sulfur recovery combination plant, 2200 KTA wax oil hydrocracking plant, 300, KTA LLDPE plant, 2000 KTA continuous reforming (including PSA) plant, 1000 KTA ethylene unit cracking furnace and pipe rack.
• Construction of the JZ251S Platform Drilling Rig Wison was completed and the rig was installed on the WHPA platform of the JZ251S Field in Bohai Bay, China.
• Wison (Nanjing) Chemical Co., Ltd. signed a gasification license agreement with GE Energy in Shanghai.
 

March
• Wison (Nanjing) Chemical Co., Ltd. was awarded the "Excellent Enterprise in Safety and Environmental Protection, 2008" designation by the administration committee of Nanjing Chemical Industry Park.
• Wison (Nanjing) Chemical Co., Ltd. passed the HKQAA ISO9001 quality system certification, ISO14001 environmental management system certification and OHSAS18001 certification audit.
• The Cracking Furnace Steel Construction of Dushanzi Petrochemical Ethylene Plant constructed by Wison won the Steel Construction Gold Award for China's excellence in construction projects 2008 (a national level high-quality project).

April
• Construction commenced on the 300 KTA LLDPE plant for 10000 KTA Refinery and 800 KTA Ethylene Refinery-Chemical Integration Project for PETROCHINA Sichuan Petrochemical Co.. This work was performed by Wison on a PC basis.

June
• Three ethylene plants for the PetroChina Dushanzi Petrochemical Megaton Ethylene Project were successfully delivered.
• The Wison Cracking Furnace Technology Forum 2009 was held in the Wison Science and Technology Park, Shangha. The theme of the event was "Energy Conservation and Innovation for a Win-Win Future" and was attended by more than 50 guests from over 30 companies located both in China and internationally.

• On 30 June 2009, following inspection by the State Administration of Industry and Commerce and approval by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, Wison (Shanghai) Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd. was renamed Wison Engineering Ltd..
• Wison Engineering Ltd. and China Chengda Engineering Co., Ltd. entered into a PC contract to provide utility work services for PetroChina Sichuan Petrochemical Co., Ltd. The work included refining-chemical integration project, chemical area exterior pipeline, chemical area underground pipe network, chemical area power supply and illumination, chemical area fire station, inter-plant exterior pipeline, and inter-plant power supply.

July
• Wison Engineering Ltd. signed the contract for a Ethylene Cracking Furnace IPS II Project on an EPC.basis.

August
• Wison Engineering Ltd. won the "Outstanding Social Contribution Award" through the "Zhangjiang 10th Anniversary Innovation and Entrepreneurship List"

September
• Ten projects were undertaken by Wison Engineering Ltd. including the Adipic Acid Plant N2O emission reduction project for China Shenma Group Co., Ltd. which won 12 awards, such as the 2009 Henan Provincial Survey & Design Industry Special-Grade Innovation Award and the Excellent Consulting Achievement First Award.
• The eight, 150 KTA ethylene cracker and boiler water supply plants, 600 KTA HDPE Plant and 180 KTA SSBR/SBS Plant that were undertaken by Wison, in the PetroChina Dushanzi Petrochemical Megaton Ethylene Project, achieved full success in the first trial run.
• Wison's coal-chemicals Phase II Syngas project, t developed in Nanjing, achieved success in its initial test-run, and produced the qualified CO with 99.1% purity in only 20 hours after feeding, establishing a record for plants of its kind both in China and abroad. After successfully passing the full-load operation performance test for 168 consecutive hours, the project was put into commercial operation, and would realize the capacity of 300 KTA CO, 21,000Nm3/h hydrogen, and 11,000Nm3/h syngas.
• Wison commenced construction on the 800,000TPA ethylene plant cracker and pipe gallery for PetroChina Sichuan Petrochemical Refining-Chemical Integration Project.

November
• Wison takes a 51% interest in Wison Offshore Technology, Inc. Development Systems and establishes Wison Offshore Technology, Inc. in Houston, Texas, USA, to supplement its offshore oil and gas capabilities by providing new technology and high-value engineering and consulting to the industry.
•  Wison establishes Wison Floating Systems in Houston, Texas, in order to provide international engineering, procurement, construction and installation services to the offshore oil and gas industry.
