On October 6, 2008, the project opening ceremony of UP VS483 which was signed by Wison and Argentina UP was held. More than 20 guests attended the opening ceremony, including the representative of ship-owner Mr. Andres Borello, DNV surveyor Mr. Zhou Lin, Mr. Gu Wentao, etc. Mr. Fu Weiwen, executive vice president of Wison (Nantong) Heavy Industry made a speech to the guests.
UP VS483 is another new ship after JAYA and PACIFIC, which is a platform supply vessel with driving power. It has advanced shipborne equipment system with higher levell of technology. This project marks the shipbuilding technology of Wison has been moving higher.
UP VS483 started preparations in January 2008. On October 6, the first boat started cutting and is expected to be completed in December 2009. The second ship with same model will do the start of the construction after one month.
