MTBE Unit Contracted to Wison is Put into Operation with Success

(September 20, Shanghai, China) Wison Engineering (China) Co., Ltd. announced recently that the Capacity Expansion and Renovation Project for MTBE (methyl tert-butyl ether) Facilities, which is contracted to Wison by China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation Guangzhou Branch, had been completed ahead of schedule. The high-standard intermediate handover was carried out on August 12 and the facilities started to manufacture qualified products which satisfied the design demand on September 04. The completion of this project indicated that the import-dependent position for MTBE had been fully reversed in CNPC Guangzhou Petroleum and Chemical.
 

Wison Engineering (China) Co., Ltd., the industry leading enterprise, by adopting the EM+PC (Engineering Management – Procurement - Construction) mode, finished the engineering, procurement and construction of the Capacity Expansion and Renovation Project for MTBE (methyl tert-butyl ether) Facilities in just 7 months and completed the reactor feeding on September 2nd. Guangzhou Petroleum and Chemical announced at 9:00 am on September 4 that, by analysis, the products manufactured by the expanded MTBE facilities conformed to standards and the facilities were operating stably and properly, indicating that Capacity Expansion and Renovation Project for MTBE Facilities had achieved a complete success. This was the second MTBE unit that Wison constructed for Guangzhou Petroleum and Chemical. In July 2008, Wison, in collaboration with Shandong Qilu Petrochemical Engineering Co. Ltd, completed the construction of MTBE and butylene-1 co-production unit, which is the first of its kind to uses refinery C4 as raw material domestically in only 7 months and thus filled in a gap in this field.
